This blog is intended to discuss our higher education system and how it can be improved. It will also discuss what is working. It is not intended to be comprehensive, but will focus on my experiences with one particular initiative that is gaining momentum in American higher education. Tuning, a feature of the European Bologna Process, will be a large part of this blog – what it is, how it affects the practice of teaching and how it affects the aspects of learning. For now, the site is in the building stage. But, I look forward to sharing with you what I believe to be ways to help our higher education system become better for the public consumer and understandable to all who choose to observe and impact it. These sites are very informative on the process. So, before you reach a conclusion or believe any hearsay, read the facts with an open mind.
